Some Q&A on Motorhome Tours 2025
I'm new to motorhoming on the Continent. Is Club tours for me? Can Associate Members go on the tours?
Yes. Many of our members and Associate members are taking their motorhomes abroad for the first time. This is why all of our tours start and end in Ireland. It's also why we keep numbers low, so that we can provide everyone with the support they need. We find a great deal of comradery develops during the tours as motorhomers tend to be very helpful and supportive to each other.
Are there any Tours specially catered for children?
Yes, with the large number of members/associate members with young families, we have Tour for 2025
Tour to Disneyland Paris and Pou du Fou with some great surprise sites en route for children and adults.
Is it like a rally?
No. Rallies usually go to a fixed venue or campsite and then stay there for a long period or for a weekend. Our tours move around allowing you to see more of the countries and areas that you are visiting. Also, you do not have to stay with the group all the time. You may break away from the group on tour and re join at your own discretion, (please just inform your tour guides)
How many motorhomers will be in the group?
For our 2025 tours, the maximum will be forty eight (48) per single Tour .Two groups of 24 per tour and at a minimum four (10) Motorhomes, plus tour member guides.
Please note for our Portugal Joint Rally 2024 over 100 motorhomes from the Club was booked in for the Joint Portuguese/Irish Rally
What happens if there are not enough motorhomes to run the tour?
We operate with small numbers, so we only need a minimum of ten (10) motorhomes to run a tour. Over the years, we have never had to cancel a tour due to lack of numbers.
Are the Tours two or three weeks duration.
Most Tours are for Two to four Weeks example Our ever popular Family Tour, where as our 2025 Tour to Italy (North) is three weeks and 2025 Tour to Italy South is for one Month but can be for three weeks if requested . A new Tour has been requested by you the members to SPAIN/MOROCCO. for 2025 Note Tours are flexible
Does the Club do all the booking?
No, we only assist you with the best deals on offer, You the member/associate member then can book at the agreed reduced rate that the Club negotiates for you.
Do you get ferry rate reductions?
Yes, we negotiate favourable rates for our Tour members for 2025. When you book your tour with us , you then can book your individual ferry crossing for the dates of the specific Tour at the agreed reduced rates.
Does our Club make any profit from the Tours?
No, The Club only offers the assistance to you the member/associate member in getting the best deal for the Tour of your choice.
Do Tour Guides accompany on ever Tour?
Yes, every tour group has a guide team members to help out. The tour guides give you an insight into the area you are visiting enabling you to see and do more. Some members find it particularly beneficial going on a guided tour if they are new to motorhoming on the Continent. The Tour Guides members provide their service to you, the member, free of charge.
What kind of campsites can I expect?
Campsites vary quite a lot depending on which country you are in and time of year. In terms of quality we use 3, 4 and 5 star campsites. We offer municipal campsites that are close to large towns or cities enabling bikes, trains, taxis etc. to be used to visit local attractions. For your added safety, we tend not to use Aires. If you wish to use Aires you are free to do so during your Tour.
Can I bring my pets?
Yes, all campsites we use are pet friendly, Don’t forget their Passport!
What are the advantages of a guided tour?
The main reasons people choose a guided tour are: the social aspects of travelling with others; the reassurance of having tour guides on hand. Tour guides give you an insight into the area you are visiting enabling you to see and do more. Some members find it particularly beneficial going on a guided tour if they are new to motorhoming on the Continent. You will also receive a full itinerary with all campsites with GPS and help if needed throughout the Tour.
The Tour Guides and Club members provide their service to you, the member, free of charge.
